Originally backed by prominent investors including Three Arch Partners, Sprout Group (New Leaf Ventures), Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Interwest Partners, and Bay City Capital. In 2011, the Company went public as (NASDAQ: EPOC). In 2013, athenahealth acquired Epocrates for $293M.
