Kelsey Levine rejoined Ross & Company from Heidrick & Struggles, where she was an Engagement Manager and one of the key drivers of the firm’s Healthcare Services and Private Equity Practices.
Over the last eight years, Kelsey identified, introduced and recruited the next wave of senior level executive talent to multiple “gold standard” healthcare services companies and the most sought-after pools of talent in our industry. Beyond this enterprise talent management focus, Kelsey worked with a range of high profile, private equity sponsors and leading healthcare growth companies. Kelsey specializes in Chief Executive Officer and President roles, as well as C-suite positions including operations, business development, strategy and transformation. Her clients range from emerging enterprises to world leaders within the healthcare industry. Kelsey’s creativity, epic work ethic and perseverance have made a major difference for the clients she has served in ensuring that they have access to the best and brightest executives.
Kelsey began her recruiting career at Ross & Company in 2009, where even as a young Associate, she made her mark on our firm and on the quality of the work product for our healthcare clients. Kelsey earned her B.A. at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she was a member of the NCAA Field Hockey team and garnered All-Liberty League honors. Kelsey and her husband, who is a labor and employment attorney, live in Philadelphia with their son.
Carolyn joined Ross & Company in 2015, and brings more than 20 years of executive search and related experience. Currently, she contributes to all aspects of the search process including: strategy and execution of search activities for C-level (CEO, CFO, COO, and CTO), Board of Director, and functional senior leadership roles in the healthcare services, healthcare information, medical device, digital media, and technology services business for venture capital and private equity backed companies.
In 1996, she established an independent research and consulting firm through which she has served executive search industry leaders including: Heidrick & Struggles, Spencer Stuart, CTPartners, Korn Ferry, and Ray & Berndtson. Her search work has spanned the U.S. and Caribbean, Canada, the UK, South America, and the Middle East.
Carolyn began her career in human resources with Canadian Pacific and eventually left to join several different boutique executive search firms conducting research and candidate development for CIO, CEO, CFO and CTO roles across North America.
Carolyn resides in Toronto, Ontario and previously lived and worked in Bermuda and The Bahamas. She is married and has two sons.
Carolyn has a B.A. degree in Psychology and Sociology from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.
Larry established Ross & Company in 1992 following a six-year career with two of the world’s largest executive recruiting firms. During his five year tenure with Russell Reynolds Associates, he worked in the New York and Stamford offices as a member of the Healthcare, Venture Capital and Investment Banking practice groups. Subsequently, he was a Principal in the Stamford office of Korn/Ferry International, and was a member of the Venture and Healthcare practices.
Larry’s search background spans a broad range of senior-level engagements across multiple healthcare industry segments, with a particular emphasis on private equity-backed growth companies. He has successfully recruited across the C-suite and at the Board level for venture, growth equity and PE sponsored portfolio companies, as well as for Managing Directors and Operating Partners for some of the most respected funds and sponsors. His client work covers a broad spectrum of asset classes, from concept and seed stage start-ups, middle market and large cap companies and publicly traded corporations.
An expert in the healthcare arena, Larry has in-depth knowledge of medical informatics/healthcare information systems, managed care, physician practice management and healthcare services. His background also includes working with biotechnology/life sciences, pharmaceutical, diagnostic and medical device manufacturers. Based upon his close relationships with the investment community, Larry has been active in the incubation and positioning of emerging healthcare companies for rapid growth; including the construction of outside boards of directors; the recruitment of general management teams; the introduction of strategic partners; and capital sourcing.
A past Secretary of the Executive Search Council (a trade association consisting of the five largest international executive search firms), Larry earned his undergraduate degree from Yale University. Larry is a former member of the Human Resources Committee of the Board of the Lasker Foundation. The Albert Lasker Medical Research Awards honor breakthrough advances in medical research and have become known as America’s “Nobel”, as over seventy Lasker Laureates have gone on to win a Nobel Prize in medicine and the life sciences. Larry is also a Board Member of the National Wildlife Refuge Association, a conservation organization. He is a former Trustee and Treasurer of the Maple Street School in Manchester, Vermont, which was founded in 2000 by John and Janet Irving.
Larry and his wife Andrea, a former nurse, have eight children between the ages of 20 and 34: Jim, Ashley, Natalie, Else, Brooks, Ben, Lily and Robin; and one grandchild, Will.
